Best known to fans of the hugely popular Superman-inspired television series Smallville as Chloe Sullivan, Allison Mack is an American actress, director and producer. She began her acting career at the age of four in commercials for brands such as “German Chocolate” and began studying at The Young Actors Space in Los Angeles when she was seven.

Mack’s first major television role came in an episode of the WB series 7th Heaven. The role garnered much attention and even raised some awareness for portraying a young teenager involved in the harmful acting of cutting. The role lead to other projects, including a starring role in the short-lived series Opposite Sex in 2000. She also starred opposite her future Smallville castmate Sam Jones in an R. L. Stine miniseries The Nightmare Room.

In 2001, Mack landed the role of Chloe Sullivan, one of Clark Kent’s best friends, in the CW hit series Smallville. Chloe Sullivan was created solely for the TV show and quickly became a fan favorite, eventually leading to Chloe being introduced into the main DC Comics storyline in 2010. Mack was constantly praised for her portrayal of Chloe Sullivan and has earned several awards and nominations for it.

Mack has also lent her voice to several animated projects including the Warner Bros CGI movie The Ant Bully. That year she also provided the voice of a museum curator named Clea in an episode of The Batman. She voiced Power Girl in the Warner Premiere animated feature, Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, released on September 29, 2009.

Expanding her talents into the realm of directing, in November 2008, Mack made her directorial debut during the eighth season episode of Smallville in the episode titled “Power”, which aired January 29, 2009.

In March 2012 Mack was cast as the love interested for the lead character Ryan, played by Elijah Wood, in the television series Wilfred in a recurring role in the second season and appeared in an episode during the show’s final season.

In 2015, Allison Mack was seen in the Fox television series The Following alongside Shawn Ashmore and Kevin Bacon and also made appearances on the series American Odyssey as well as lending her vocal talents to the children’s series Lost in Oz.
