501st Legion - Great Lakes Garrison
Main Show Floor
Great Lakes Garrison is a subdivision of the 501st Legion, the premier Imperial Star Wars costuming group in the world. GLG operates in the state of Michigan and was originally a part of the venerable Midwest Garrison as "Michigan Squad," and then separated into a full-fledged Garrison in December of 2007. Since then, the GLG has contributed significantly to the greater 501st and Star Wars communities. The annual Motor City Comic-Con is a signature event in which the GLG participates. GLG members served a central role in TrooperFest of 2009 and 2011. GLG members have also gone on to serve in various command and administrative roles at the Legion level for the 501st, as well as the 501st's partner organization, the Rebel Legion.

We do our best to keep you up to date with the latest pricing and schedule! Not all of the celebrities at our show will have presale autographs available. If they are available, they will be listed. Otherwise, they will only be available at the show (most only accept cash).
Cosplay: Craftsmanship Contest

Calling all cosplayers! We invite you to take part in Metro Detroit’s largest and longest-running cosplay competition! The Motor City Comic Con Cosplay Contest is open to participants ages 13 and up who have an amazing costume they’d like to share. This year, the Motor City Comic Con Cosplay Contest features two divisions: the Cosplay Showcase, our non-competitive category for individuals and groups, and the Craftsmanship Competition, our competitive division for individual cosplayers who’ve handcrafted at least 50% of their cosplay. On-site authentication for signatures signed at the show or brought from home. Trusted by all major auction houses, dealers and collectors, any autograph backed by JSA certification enhances the value and marketability of the item. Stop by the authentication booth after meeting the celebrity guest to redeem certification. Collectors may also submit autographs brought from home. Visit "Submission Pricing" below for fees starting at $20 for authentication. Pricing may vary based on the value of the signature(s).

Don’t miss out on the chance of a lifetime to have a professional photo taken with your favorite celebrity at Motor City Comic Con! Capture the memory with a beautiful 8×10 photo of you and your favorite star(s). You can pre-purchase the photo ops online before the event to secure your place in line and you’ll even get your photos at the event so you can go get them signed at the show! Schedule will be posted as we get closer to the show, around 2-3 weeks prior.

Watch your favorite artists and illustrators battle it out, live on stage during our fan favorite Sketch Duels! Anyone attending the panel will be entered into a raffle for the sketches created. You could go home with a one-of-a-kind drawing!
