ADA POLICY

MC3® ADA POLICY

Motor City Comic Con welcomes individuals of all abilities and is committed to providing an accessible experience for all attendees. We continually evaluate and improve our accessibility efforts and welcome feedback to help enhance the experience for everyone.

Below is information outlining the accessibility accommodations available for this year’s event. If you have any accessibility-related questions or specific needs, please contact us here and our team will be happy to assist.

ADA WRISTBANDS

MC3 offers ADA wristbands to guests who may have mobility, physical, vision, hearing, cognitive, psychological, or other disabilities, including those that may not be immediately visible. The ADA wristband identifies you to staff and security as someone who may require accessibility accommodations.

Please note:

  • ADA wristbands do not provide admission. A valid event admission wristband is required.

  • ADA wristbands are issued for one individual only and are valid for the duration of the current convention.

  • Wristbands may not be redistributed, resold, or transferred. Misuse may result in revocation of admission without refund and removal from future MC3 events.

Guests with an ADA wristband may use a shorter line for autographs and selfies.

PANELS, SCREENINGS, & SEATING
  • Priority seating for guests with disabilities is provided when available.
  • All on-site panel and screening seating is first come, first served, and seating cannot be guaranteed.
  • Guests needing accessible seating for on-site panels or screenings are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the event so staff can best assist.

Off-site screenings:
Guests who require accessible seating for off-site screenings are encouraged to contact us in advance so we can coordinate accommodations with the off-site venue.

Due to the popularity of MC3 events, we recommend planning ahead for panels and screenings that are most important to you.

ADA SERVICE COUNTER

The ADA Service Counter is located inside the main registration area and is available to assist with accessibility needs.

At the ADA Service Counter, you can:

  • Pick up your ADA wristband

  • Receive information about the venue’s accessibility features

Additional Details:

  • The counter opens one hour prior to show opening

  • Any staff member can direct you to the ADA Service Counter

  • Pre-Opening Seating: ADA guests may wait in a designated seating area prior to show opening instead of standing in line

WRISTBAND POLICIES
  • ADA wristbands are valid for all days of the event

  • Please do not remove your wristband during the event

  • One companion wristband may be issued per ADA guest

    • Exceptions may be made for families with young children
