MOTOR CITY COMIC CON IS COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING ORIGINAL CREATORS AND MAINTAINING A FAIR AND AUTHENTIC MARKETPLACE. TO PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF OUR ARTIST ALLEY AND CRAFTER SPACES, WE HAVE IMPLEMENTED THE FOLLOWING POLICY REGARDING AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

• Definition of AI-Generated Content: AI-generated content refers to any artwork, writing, or creative product produced primarily using generative artificial intelligence tools (including but not limited to image generators, text generators, or similar systems), where the output is created by a machine rather than directly by the artist or creator.

• Artist Alley & Crafters: All items sold or displayed in Artist Alley and Crafter spaces must be original, human-made work created by the approved vendor. AI-generated content is not permitted.

This includes:

• Artwork, prints, stickers, or commissions generated by AI
• Books, comics, or written works created by AI
• Products featuring AI-generated imagery or text

Work that is primarily generated by AI and only lightly edited or modified by a human is also not permitted. Artists and crafters must ensure their work is substantially created through their own skill, whether using traditional or digital methods.

• Vendors: Vendors selling collectibles, toys, apparel, licensed merchandise, or other retail goods are not impacted by this policy unless they are selling AI-generated creative content such as artwork, prints, books, or similar items.

• Review and Enforcement: All submissions and items are subject to review by Motor City Comic Con staff. We reserve the right to deny, remove, or request the removal of any items that appear to violate this policy. Decisions are made to protect the creative community and ensure a fair environment for all exhibitors.

• Compliance: Failure to comply with this policy may result in removal from the event without refund and may impact eligibility for future events. Motor City Comic Con reserves the right to amend or update this policy as needed.
